• Oceanfront dining: There are a couple of great eateries overlooking the water forming a wonderful waterfront restaurant row. Our favorite is the Beach House with the waves crashing right below you.
• The Cardiff Kook: See what happens when a non-surfer is commissioned to create a piece of surf art. The now-beloved Kook has been dressed as Santa, a ballerina, a farmer and fed to Jaws.
• San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve: One of the few remaining coastal wetlands, you can explore 1,000 acres including 7.5 miles of trails and 700 species of plants and animals.
