Lucky to call Leucadia home

Where did the name Leucadia come from? It’s Greek and is the name of one of the Ionian Islands. There were plans for a Hotel Sacco in Leucadia and all the streets were Greek inspired. The resort was never built but the street names remain. Leucadia is a wonderful little community that you can really get to know better by walking down Highway 101, browsing the shops, and maybe stopping for lunch. Locals always look forward to the Leucadia Farmers’ Market for the freshest produce, flowers and hand-made crafts.
